Flashback Thursday: Hollywood Cemetery Richmond, Va.

Situated high above the James River, Hollywood Cemetery was a popular picnic spot known as Harvie Woods before it became one of the most historic cemeteries in  the country. In 1846 it was set aside to create a rural cemetery and little did they know that within 20 years it would be used extensively for Civil War burials.

Presidents Circle is a must visit with the graves of James Monroe, John Tyler and Jefferson Davis.

There are also the graves of 28 Confederate Generals including my favorite JEB Stuart.

Walking the bridge over Montmorency Falls

If you like heart stopping adventure, taking this walk on a wooden bridge over these falls which are taller than Niagara Falls can be quite the adventure.

This is Montmorency Falls from the Isle d'Orleans bridge. That is the walking bridge that you see above the falls.
