Historic district of Winston Salem, NC

In 2010 we took a vacation to North Carolina. We began our journey in Winston Salem. These pictures were taken in February and are in the older part of the city. While it is not a pedestrian zone, it feels like it is.

We stayed in the area at the lovely Augustus T. Zevely Inn and these pictures were our adventures as we walked out and looked around the day we arrived.

This is the historic district and was originally settled by Moravians from Pennsylvania. If you have ever been to Bethlehelm, Penn. you will feel right at home here.

  1. This looks like a lovely place to visit. I've never been.

    1. We had such a nice time here, we really should have allowed more time than we did.
